At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, thousands of fight fans turned out to see Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao step on the scales for Saturday's HBO pay-per-view main event. There were a lot of De La Hoya fans in the house, but the Pacquiao support was overwhelming. The were chants of Manny the minute announcer Michael Buffer mentioned his name. Comedian George Lopez, a close friend of De La Hoya, was doing plenty of one-liners on stage to entertain the crowd.
Ricky Hatton was announced to the crowd and received a decent response from the crowd. "I feel very privileged to be in a position to fight the winner," Hatton told the crowd.
Juan Manuel Marquez was introduced next and received a good crowd reaction from the Mexican fans in the crowd. Shane Mosley was introduced and received a mix of cheers and boos. Bernard Hopkins was introduced next to the crowd who received a loud round of boos from crowd when he announced "De La Hoya will win this fight. I'm predicting a knockout around the seventh or eight round." A Manny chant broke out from the Filipinos as Hopkins tried to get a rise from the Mexicans to chant back.
The crowd exploded when Pacquiao was introduced. De La Hoya received a mix of cheers and boos when he took to the stage. The Manny chant drowned out the Oscar chant.
Pacquiao, looking totally ripped, stepped on the scales and weighed 142-pounds, lower than many expected, but kept low to keep his spped in order. De La Hoya stepped on the scales and weighed 145-pounds, his lowest weight since 2001 and also lower than many expected. De La Hoya appeared a bit dried out.

Sergio Manuel Medina (33-1, 18KOs): 122-Pounds
(NABO junior welterweight champion) Victor Ortiz (22-1, 17KOs): 140-pounds

Ahora empieza uno de los momentos claves LA REHIDRATACION DE DE LA HOYA,seguramente mañana subira al ring con mas de 160 libras (72kg) y Manny subira con el mismo peso que acuso hoy en la balanza del MGM,mañana se confirmara esto.

Es mas muchachos,todos los que somos de este foro,argentinos,españoles,mexicanos y puertorriqueños,creo que son todas las naciones que opinamos aca....hagamos interesante esto,pongan todos sus predicciones o como creen que sera la pelea para que se vuelva interesante dentro de todas las cosas que encierra la pelea.
